Dr Ian Russell is a contemporary art curator and academic researcher based in Dublin, Ireland. His research focuses on the interface between art and archaeology, and he sepcialises in the realisation of academic research deliverables as site-specific curatorial projects, exhibitions and events. As a post-doctoral fellow of the Humanities Institute of Ireland at UCD and the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies at the University of Notre Dame, he has produced extensive research on the intellectual history of archaeology and heritage studies in Ireland.
Given this experience, he will act as project curator and interface coordinator with responsibility for:
• managing and facilitating open-communications and research synergies across the arts/academic aspects of the project, ensuring the delivery of a cohesive project package
• coordination, curation and delivery of exhibitions based on research outputs
• development and implementation of modes of dissemination
